Joseph Jungman Elementary

Welcome Back to School!

We would like to welcome all of our new and returning students to Joseph Jungman Elementary! We are anxiously awaiting the challenges that are in store for the upcoming school year. There are many upcoming events planned to show our gratitude to the community and families of Joseph Jungman!

A few words From Principal Hernandez:

As a person who has worked at Jungman Elementary for over 20 years, I have a connection and vested interest in every child that walks through our doors. At Jungman Elementary, our top priority is academic success for all students. Success comes from being proactive, begin with the end in mind, prioritizing (put first things first), think positively, listen before talking, and working together. It is through these skills that students will have the self-confidence to succeed as leaders in the global society. Students succeed when home family, school family, and the extended community work together. We expect families to actively participate by volunteering, communicating with children on current learning, meeting with teachers, and the Local School Council. I am available at (773) 534 - 7375 or by email at zmhernandez@cps.edu and as always, thank you for your support!

*Attention, Attention!! Parent-Teacher Conferences around the corner!

We would like to welcome all Parents and Guardians to our Parent-Teacher conferences, scheduled for November 16th, 2011. This conference marks the end of the school first quarter, which is an excellent time to see how your student(s) is/are performing. It's also an excellent time to get involved in our school's extra-curricular activities.

We also have another Parent-Teacher Conference day scheduled on April 18, 2012. Be sure to refer to the School calendar.
